Sake is a Japanese alcoholic beverage made of rice, water, koji and yeast. Although Sake is known as 鈥淛apanese rice wine鈥? it is quite different from wine. Sake is carefully brewed (fermented) much like craft beer.
As the major newspapers and wine magazines from around the globe are increasingly highlighting Japanese food and liquors, Sake sales continues to climb. See how Sake is brewed with this video from Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Association.
